International Student

How to apply as an International Student (NOT during pandemic)?

  • Choose one of the following 3 programs:
    Master of Theological Studies
    Master of Divinity
    Doctor of Ministry
  • Fill out the online application admission form, following the application guidelines, then press ‘submit’. (Online application submission will be available in September, 2020.)
  • Pay the application fee specified in the application guidelines (International application fee: $150).
  • As an International student, you must be a full-time student. Full-time means studying at least three 3-credit courses in a semester.
  • After you have passed our preliminary review of your application, we will arrange an online admission interview with you. When we approve your application, we will send you an Admission Notice. You have to sign and send it back to us.
  • When we received your signed Admission Notice, we will issue a Letter of Acceptance for you.
  • If you fail in the preliminary review or in the online admission interview, you will be notified accordingly.
  • After you receive your Letter of Acceptance from us, you must then apply for a study permit at your nearest Canadian embassy, consulate. Canadian officials may require proof of financial support for your school fees and living expenses while in Canada.
  • Once you are approved to study in Canada, the Canadian officials will issue a Letter of Introduction to you. This is NOT your study permit, but you need this document when you arrive Canada.
  • The British Columbia Government requires international students permitted to stay for 6 months or more to join the BC Medical Service Plan which will only become effective 2 to 3 months after application. We suggest that you take out private medical insurance until after your BC Medical Service Plan application is approved.
  • When you arrive in Canada, the immigration officials at the point of entry will issue you with a study permit.
  • You are not allowed to register any course before you have your study permit.
  • As soon as you have arrived in Vancouver, you should go to our school with your student visa to register. At the same time, you must pay CAD$3,000 school fee deposit.

  • There are limitations for international students to work in Canada. Please check https://www.cic.gc.ca
  • Our school does not have accommodation facilities. International students must arrange their own accommodation. We will refer you to our C.A.R.E Committee if you need any assistance.
  • If you are bringing your family with you, we will refer you to our C.A.R.E Committee for related assistance regarding accommodation and children’s schooling.
