How to apply as an International Student (NOT during pandemic)?

  • Choose one of the following 4 programs:
    Master of Theological Studies
    Master of Divinity
    Master of Ministry
    Doctor of Ministry
  • Fill out the online application admission form, following the application guidelines, then press ‘submit'.
  • Pay the application fee specified in the application guidelines (International application fee: Master level - $165; Doctoral level - $220).
  • As an international student, you must be a full-time student. For master level students, you are required to register 3 or more courses during the Fall and Spring term in order to consider as a full-time student. For doctoral students, you are required to register total 4 courses during the Spring and Summer term in order to consider as a full-time student. D.Min. students will also be considered as full-time student when you are working on your thesis.
  • After you have passed our preliminary review of your application, we will arrange an online admission interview with you. When we approve your application, we will send you an Admission Notice. You have to sign and send it back to us.
  • When we received your signed Admission Notice, we will issue a Letter of Acceptance for you.
  • If you fail in the preliminary review or in the online admission interview, you will be notified accordingly.
  • After you receive your Letter of Acceptance from us, you must then apply for a study permit at your nearest Canadian Visa Office.
    Here is some information for Study permit application:
  • Once you are approved to study in Canada, the Canadian officials will issue a Letter of Introduction to you. This is NOT your study permit, but you need this document when you arrive in Canada.
  • You are not allowed to register any course before you have your study permit.
  • As soon as you have arrived in Vancouver, you should go to our school with your student visa to register. At the same time, you must pay CAD$3,000 school fee deposit.
  • The British Columbia (B.C.) government Medical Services Plan (MSP) is a mandatory public health insurance plan for everyone who lives in B.C. for six months or longer. The B.C. MSP is an important part of benefitting from the health care available to all B.C. residents. The plan covers the cost of basic medical care within Canada, including most physician and hospital services. If you are not enrolled, you will have to pay for medical expenses independently.
    If you will live in B.C. for 6 months or longer, you are required by law to enrol in MSP and pay the plan's premiums. You must apply for MSP as soon as you arrive in B.C.. You cannot apply for MSP before you arrive.
