Library Catalogue
Students can access the library catalogue 24 hours a day through the following link to search, place holds, and renew books: Click Here

Online Service
Patrons are provided with a username and password to access the Library Catalogue's online services. Users can search for items by title, author, editor, publisher, and more. Patrons may place holds on books that are not immediately available and renew books that are currently checked out.

Who May Borrow
Anyone may use the library materials, but borrowing privileges are limited to students registered for the current school term, as well as faculty and staff with valid ID cards. Students must be enrolled in at least one course before their library card can be activated. Auditing students registered in the current semester with valid ID cards may also borrow materials. Alumni and certificate students may borrow materials by completing an application form and paying an annual library card fee of $25.00.

Borrowing Limits
a. Our students and auditors may borrow the following:

  • General books, cd/dvd
  • Quantity: 15 items
  • Loan period: 21 days

b. Journals and reference books are not available for borrowing.
c. Renewals: Each item may be renewed once for an additional 21 days.
d. Overdue fine: $0.50 per item per day.
e. Textbooks for the semester must be borrowed through the library system.

  • A maximum of two textbooks may be borrowed at a time for a period of four hours.
  • If there are no reservations, users may extend the borrowing period for another four hours.
  • Late fee: $5 per hour for overdue textbooks.

Holding Requests
If an item is not immediately available for loan, patrons may place a hold using the library catalogue. Once the item becomes available, patrons will be notified. Patrons must pick up the item within 7 days. A CAD $2.00 fee will apply if the item is not picked up within the 7-day limit, and the item will be released to other patrons. Reserved materials are loaned on a first-come, first-served basis. Holds for reserved materials must be made through the library catalogue to be processed.

Re-shelving
Please do not re-shelve any library materials. Materials should be returned to the Circulation Desk or placed on the book carts provided.

Library users must adhere to copyright laws. The user is responsible for any copying or scanning of materials. Photocopying costs are posted next to the photocopier.
