CCSTVancouver – My Seminary, My Family

Canadian Chinese School of Theology Vancouver (CCST Vancouver) is not only a place for equipping God's workers but also a big family filled with the love of the Lord.

In June 2023, prompted by the persistent urging of the Holy Spirit, I finally responded to God’s call from eight years ago. I resolutely left my stable job to embark on a full-time journey of theological training. That very weekend, after I submitted my resignation and confirmed my enrollment application, my wife shared a joyful surprise—God had answered our prayers by granting us our first child! With simple faith, we began this path of theological preparation step by step.

However, early in her pregnancy, my wife discovered that our daughter's heart development was abnormal, necessitating frequent hospital visits for checkups. This took a toll on us physically and emotionally. After our daughter was born prematurely, further health issues requiring monitoring came to light. Reflecting on those days, they were indeed filled with trials and challenges.

I am deeply grateful to our Heavenly Father for His provision. The school prayed for our family every week concerning our daughter’s health. The professors adjusted the coursework to accommodate my situation, and my classmates offered support both in resources and spirit. For us, as a new immigrant family, finding a sense of home at the school has been a blessing from God.

We named our daughter “Yunqing” (允晴). Now nine months old, watching her grow healthy day by day is nothing short of a miracle. I hope she will live out the meaning of her name, becoming warmth and a blessing to those around her in these end times, bringing clear skies of hope amidst the cold indifference of the world.
