Diploma in Christian Studies

Course Introduction

The Diploma in Christian Studies program (30 credits) aims to equip brothers and sisters to deepen their biblical understanding, to grow in their faith and to expand on their ministry skills. Graduates from this program are eligible to transfer all courses with grade B- or above to our M.T.S. or M.Div. program upon final approval by the registrar’s office. Regular Dip. C.S. program can be completed with a one-year full-time residency.

The Online Dip. C.S. is rooted in the context of the students’ faith and community they live and serve. It is designed to provide maximum flexibility for the enrichment of lay Christians or ministry workers who are unable to attend courses in the main campus location. Students in the online Dip. C.S. program is required to be an active church participant. (This program is not eligible for applying student permit.)

Foundations of the Christian Heritage (12 credits)
  • Biblical Interpretation: Theories and Practice (3)
  • Theological Investigation 1 (3)
  • Church History Insights for Today 1 or 2 (3)
  • Historical, Literary, and Theological Survey of the Old Testament and
  • New Testament (3) 
Personal & Spiritual Formation (3 credits)
  • Spiritual Formation: Theology & Praxis (3)
Free Electives (15 credits)
  • Any course from any master’s program.
Non-credit requirements
  • Orientation module (research and writing), community groups

Admission Requirement

Admission Fee

To be considered for admission, applicants must: Complete the application form, submit all related documents and a $55 application fee (International application fee: $165).

Academic Requirement

Dip.C.S. applicant – have a completed diploma, associate degree or degree from a recognized higher education institute.

English Requirement

There is no English requirment for the program.

  1. Submit the following documents:
    1. Testimony – an article about the applicant's personal faith journey with Jesus and vocational call.

    2. References

      • 3 reference letters (1 pastoral reference + 1 academic + 1 character reference)

      • Married applicants must have a letter of support from their spouse.

  2. Advanced Master of Divinity Program, MDiv applicants are required to complete a biblical knowledge assessment test.
  3. D.Min., M.Div., Advanced Master of Divinity Program, M.T.S, and Advanced Diploma in Practical Theology applicants are required to have an admission interview after submitting all the required documents.
  4. Baptized (Year) - Min. 2 years
